ISCAHM – Eggs… Eggs… and more Eggs! Week 16

Sorry for the long delay of updates as of late. I think this was the longest interval between posts. Lately, I have been busy with work and school which compromised my blogging. Nevertheless, I am still here, alive and kicking!

So what do we have on the 16th week? Breakfast guys!

This week was all about breakfast food. This means only one thing, tons of eggs!

Everyone had 3-4 eggs a day.

We used different styles of cooking eggs from pan frying to poaching.
My favorite was the trio of poached eggs: benedict, st. denise, and florentine.

Don’t get me wrong though, we didn’t do just eggs. We also had some other breakfast items that paired well with eggs and with the idea of breakfast itself.

Pancakes.

We then ended with a heavy week in school. We had to serve a buffet! It was a breakfast buffet during lunch! Our theme was summer.

It was pretty exhausting but at the same time exhilarating. Everyone was busy doing their part.

Everyone was happy serving others.

As for me? This was my first time on the line. I was on the omelet station serving ala minute.

And to be honest, the best part of the buffet was this.

Food from the pastries!!!
