Food Shopping at the Duty Free Philippines

We took advantage of the running sale of the Duty Free Philippines here in Manila near the NAIA! The sale starts on November 27 and ends on the 30th. We went there yesterday and boy, the atmosphere was such an adrenaline!

There was a LOT of people! This I mean very very very very VERY MANY! This is the first time I have seen Duty Free to be like this! There were so many people that I needed to go back outside and look for the people going home just to get for their carts!

To give you an idea how much people were there, I’ll tour you around the food area! What we bought were the give aways for aunt Alice’s party so those were the chips and the chocolates!

Chips are almost empty lolz!

And yes, there were a lot of people here!

A lot of the chips boxes were also used as a container! A lot of people were using it as an alternative for the cart!

Here is the chocolate area, pretty cleaned out like the typhoon Ondoy! It actually made me feel another typhoon was coming when we went here yesterday lolz!

Cadbury is yum! πŸ™‚

Hershey’s were also being devoured!

I also found some nice gift goods that I really liked!

So, by this time, we were going to line-up and pay, then BOOM! PEOPLE!!!

Trying to look for aunt Alice!

Finally, our time to pay! YAY! πŸ™‚

We actually bought a LOT! and I mean A LOT!

We are pretty much having a chocolate buffet for the rest of our lives if we were to eat them lolz.!

See that? My sister was organizing the huge quantity of stuffs we have bought!

I know that this is not food, but I also have to show it. Lacoste is a popular brand here in the Philippines and it seemed they were also hit by Ondoy!

They’re like sold out lolz! Good business πŸ˜€

We also went to the grocery area but we didn’t buy anything because of PEOPLE again lolz!

Tons of PEOPLE!

Wow, that was an experience! It’s my first time to encounter so many people in Duty Free Philippines lolz! The promo is actually like this. The exchange rate that they are going to use is PHP41 to USD1. That means, you get to have an automatic 15% discount because the current exchange rate is PHP47 to USD1! Moreso, they usually have promotions like buy 3 bags get 2 bags and an additional umbrella. Talk about Black Friday here lolz!

Anyhow, to give you a glimpse of how much we bought. Here is a shot!

And that’s not even everything! πŸ˜€
